The Martinez is a timeless staple for those who prefer their cocktails on the drier side. It features a robust base of gin and sweet vermouth, creating a complex herbal backbone. A small measure of maraschino liqueur adds a subtle, fruity depth without becoming cloying. Two dashes of orange bitters tie the flavours together, while a twist of lemon zest provides a bright, aromatic top note. Stirred with ice, it serves as a sophisticated, refreshing start to any evening.
