This elegant drink balances the warmth of barrel-aged rum with the bright acidity of lime juice. Fresh mint leaves are muddled to release their aromatic oils, creating a herbal backbone that pairs beautifully with the smooth spirit. A touch of simple syrup rounds out the edges, while a dash of Angostura bitters adds depth. Finally, a pour of chilled champagne lifts the profile, adding a crisp, effervescent finish that makes it a perfect choice for special occasions.
