The story
The Boulevardier cocktail is thought to have been created in the 1920s by Erskine Gwynne, an American writer and socialite living in Paris. It is essentially a whiskey-based version of the Negroni, substituting gin with bourbon or rye, and has gained popularity as a classic aperitif. Though not as well-known as the Negroni, it has a devoted following among whiskey lovers.
