This elegant drink balances the spice of rye whiskey with the smooth depth of cognac. Sweet vermouth adds a rich, herbal backbone, while a small measure of Bénédictine brings a subtle honeyed complexity. A few dashes of Peychaud’s bitters tie the flavours together. Served chilled in a stemmed glass, it is a sophisticated choice for those who enjoy layered, aromatic sips. The orange zest garnish releases bright citrus oils, enhancing the overall aroma before the first sip.
